HOMEMADE GRANOLA

Do you like your food quick, easy and healthy?! So, this one is definitely for you!!!Homemade granola makes a great snack or breakfast with milk, yogurt or smoothie. This recipe is so simple that you will be surprised you haven’t made it before.

INGREDIENTS:

  • oats
  • nuts (any nuts you like)
  • pumpkin seeds (or other seeds you like)
  • raisins
  • goji berries
  • cinnamon
  • honey
You can experiment with ingredients, add dried fruits if you like or switch a honey to maple syrup...

Preheat your oven to 160°C/320°F.



Chop nuts into smaller pieces.


Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.




Add honey (if your honey isn't runny, add a splash of water and heat in a microwave or in a bain-marie). Stir until dry ingredients are well-coated.


Spread your mixture onto a baking sheet lined with a parchment paper. Bake for 30-35 min,  stir every 10 minutes to make sure it bakes evenly.



Let it cool down and store it in a glass or plastic jars. (keeps for at least two months)

PORK STEAK

It’s simplicity at its best: just good, old fashioned, juicy, well-cooked pork steak.


 INGREDIENTS:
  • meat
  • olive oil
  • soy sauce
  • pepper
  • salt
  • khmeli-suneli
  • garlic


Mix all ingredients in a bowl or container and let it marinade for 15 minutes.


Put on a grill or frying pan, cook for 5-8 min on each side.


Transfer to a serving plate.

AVOCADO TOAST AND POACHED EGG

Breakfast is an important part of the day, sometimes we skip it. Reasons why breakfast is missed include: lack of time, sleeping in late, long bus rides, lack of role modeling and not being hungry in the morning. This one will wake you up with it's brightness and nutritiousness in no time.

 INGREDIENTS:

  • bread
  • avocado
  • egg
  • lemon juice
  • scallions
  • chili flakes
  • salt & pepper


Toast the bread to your liking, slice avocado and place on top of your toast.


Squeeze the lemon juice on top of an avocado.


Sprinkle with salt, pepper and chili flakes.


Perfect Poached Eggs:

  • Heat the water to a simmer.
  • Carefully crack the egg into a water.
  • Let it poach for 1 min.
  • Turn off the heat, cover the pan and set your timer for 4 minutes.
  • Remove the egg with a slotted spoon and serve immediately.
Sprinkle the egg with salt & pepper and scallions.




You will never skip breakfast again after you try this delightful breakfast

OATMEAL WITH GOODNESS

Oatmeal is a perfect breakfast:
  • keeps you fuller than some other breakfast foods
  • help lower your cholesterol
  • may reduce your risk of cancer
  • rich in a heart-protective plant chemical
  • inexpensive

If you think oatmeal is boring or just a breakfast food. Here we have a great oatmeal recipe to prove  you are mistaken. 


INGREDIENTS:

  • oats
  • granola
  • flax seeds
  • sesame seeds
  • nuts
  • goji berries
  • banana
  • raisins
  • water
  • milk (optional)
  • cinnamon (optional)


Put raisins in water and heat the water to boiling.


Add oats and  cook according to instructions on package.



Add cinnamon.



Chop nuts and mix with goji berries, sesame and flax seeds. Cut banana into slices and put in a bowl.


Pour cooked oatmeal with raisins on top of banana.


Sprinkle with nuts, seeds, goji and granola.


You can pour some milk on top (this step is optional).


Experiment with ingredients and enjoy!!!
